Training Description

Ethical practice is a required competency for all licensed social workers. The overall purpose of this course is to encourage and help participants develop a better understanding of and manage the ethical issues and dilemmas they encounter in practice. 


Suggested Participants: For all Licensed Social Workers, Ethics and Pain Management is required once every 3 years for license renewal. This training offers 1 of the needed 2.0 hours in Pain Management training and 5.0 hours in Ethics training, for a total of 6.0 CE hours.


Registration, Payment and Cancelation Policy

Registration: Pre-registration is required to ensure attendance. Participants are welcome to attend the training as a walk-in (someone that did not pre-register), however, walk-ins will NOT be guaranteed seats or materials. Walk-ins will be asked to wait until the training begins in order to receive training materials and be seated to assure that there is enough room. IMPORTANT: Registered attendees must arrive no later than 10 minutes after the training begins. After this point, seats will be given to the walk-in attendees on first come first serve basis

Photo Consent: By joining us at this event, attendees consent to Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority's Detroit Wayne Connect photographing, videotaping and using your image and likeness.

Payments: Payments can be submitted by credit card and e-check during online registration. Payments must be received prior to being admitted into the training on April 5, 2018.

Continuing Education Information

Continuing Education Credits are approved for this training. Participants must arrive on time and stay through the training to receive full Continuing Education Credits. Late arrival or early departures will result in the deduction of awarded credit and proof of attendance. 6.0 Continuing Education Credits are approved for this training (1.0 Pain Management Credits and 5.0 Ethics Credits). 

SOCIAL WORKERS: 6.0 continuing education credits are approved for this training. 

QMHP: 6.0 QMHP hours are approved for this training. This course can be used toward the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) training requirement for Qualified Mental Health Professionals. 

TRAINING HOURS: 6.0 Training hours are approved for this training. This training will count toward the annual training hours required by most provider agencies
