Description:

It is important to develop and implement treatment services that can effectively address post-traumatic stress symptoms while also successfully managing the risk of triggering individuals into episodes of mental illness symptoms or substance abuse relapse. The goal of thissession is to advance the development and implementation of evidence-based treatment services  to individuals served by the public behavioral health system.

Learning Objectives

  • Participants will be able to identify at least 3 components of the ZS framework
  • Participants will be able to identify at least 3 evidence based suicide prevention practices
  • Participants will be able to identify key aspects for program replication.

Suggested Participants: Adult Providers, Case Managers, Social Workers, Professional Counselors, Addictions Counselors, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Administrator, and Clinical Directors serving adults.

Continuing Education Information

  • CHILDREN'S MENTAL HEALT PROFESSIONALS (CMHP): These event hours meet the MDCH training requirement for CMHP  staff.
  • QUALIFIED INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES PROFESSIONAL: These event hours meet the MDCH training requirement for QIDP staff.
  • QUALIFIED MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS (QMHP): These event hours meet the MDCH training requirement for QMHP  staff.
  • TRAINING HOURS: This event will count toward the annual training hours required by most provider agencies.
