Critical/Sentinel Event Training

This training will cover:

1. All updates to the Critical/Sentinel Event and Death Reporting Policy and Procedures
2. The updated Guidance Manual for Entering Critical and Sentinel Events and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) into MH-WIN
3. Overview of responsibilities in reporting SUD Residential incidents for the new MDHHS system

Suggested Participants:

Directors, Managers, Supervisors, Clinicians, Supports Coordinators, Case Managers, Staffing Agencies, Home Providers who will be responsible for entering, reviewing, and/or monitoring the Critical/Sentinel Event process and participating in the Root Cause Analysis process.  All individuals for this training must have a clinical license with the ability to determine if the appropriate standard of care and the scope of services rendered were appropriate.  Exception:  Administrative Support staff whose work is reviewed prior to entry into MH-WIN.
