This presentation will provide an overview of ASD to help attendees describe the characteristics of and dispel some of the myths about this complex condition. An introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis and “ABA Therapy” will be provided to help attendees describe how best to support individuals with ASD with evidence-based best practices.

- 2 Social Workers credits: These event hours meet the MDCH training requirement for MI-CEC staff.
- 2 Child Mental Health Professionals credits: These event hours meet the MDCH training requirement for CMPH staff.
- 2 Michigan Certified Board of Addicition Professionals credits: These event hours meet the MDCH training requirement for MCBAP staff.
- 2 Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professionals credits: These event hours meet the MDCH training requirement for QIDP staff.
- 2 Training hour credits: this event will count toward the annual training hours required by most provider agencies.
