The opening plenary of the ASAP Prevention Week will kick off the event with an engaging session focused on the power of collaboration. Distinguished speakers will provide an overview of the coalition's critical work, share insights into current challenges, and highlight successful community collaborations.
During this session, we will showcase the benefits of cross-sector collaboration by featuring the partnership between the ASAP Coalition, the fire department, youth-serving organizations, and youth group members. Their collective efforts have had a positive impact on the community, and we aim to inspire others to join us in this collaborative approach.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the tools and resources that support cross-sector collaboration and discover how partnering with other organizations can help achieve shared objectives. By bringing together diverse
Targeted Participants:
Substance Use prevention (SUD specialists), public health practitioners, health eduactors, and social works.
Course Objecives:
- Recognize the critical factors for cross-sector collaboration success
- Evaluate the success of their cross-sector collaborations
- Apply the collaboration-strengthening tools and readily available opportunities to further their prevention efforts.
CEU Credits :
1.5 (MCBAP) - This training meets the MDHHS requirement for Michigan Certified Board of Addictions Professionals
1.5 Training Hour - This training offers general training hours.
