Course Description:
This course will provide clinicians with information about what rapport is and how to recognize when you have it with parents and clients. This will include key behaviors to observe and collect data on to assess the rapport that you have. Techniques in building rapport with parents and clients will be reviewed with tips on how those can be incorporated into your treatment.
Course Objectives:
1. Clinicians will recognize parent and client behaviors that demonstrate rapport
2. Clinicians will collect and analyze data to support changes in behavior related to rapport
3. Clinicians will identify techniques used to improve rapport with parents and clients.
Agenda:
11:30-11:40: What is rapport and how to recognize when you have it.
11:40-12:05: Building rapport with parents
12:05-12:30: Building rapport with clients
