Course Description:
An evidence-informed training for adults to become strong and effective advocates to protect children, including information on how to talk about sexual health with children and one another, how to protect children from abuse, and how to report abuse and suspicious behavior.
Course Objectives:
1. Participants will learn how to talk about sexual abuse prevention and body safety with other adults and the children in their lives.
2. Participants will understand how to protect children of all ages from sexual abuse.
3. Participants will recognize the warning signs and learn how to make a report if they suspect maltreatment.
Timed Agenda:
12pm-1:30pm Presentation on sexual abuse prevention and body safety, recognizing warning signs and how to effectively report suspected maltreatment

-CHILD MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS (CMHP): This event hour meets the MDCH training requirement for CMHP staff = 1.5 Hours.
